- fulfilling legal obligations (including anti-money laundering (AML) compliance and responding to court orders)

We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (SSL/TLS), access controls, regular security audits, staff privacy training and secure destruction procedures. Client portal and financial data are stored on password-protected secure servers accessible only to authorised personnel.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected: for the duration of an active engagement and for 7 years after termination (in accordance with Australian tax record-keeping requirements); enquiry records for 3 years; and anonymised website analytics data for no more than 26 months. After the retention period, information is securely deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
8. Your Rights
Under the APPs, you have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate, outdated or incomplete information
- Deletion: request deletion of your personal information where no legal retention obligation applies
- Marketing opt-out: unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time (service-related notifications are unaffected)
- Complaint: lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have not handled your privacy matter appropriately
